"Relief"

In a small group show, printmakers show tightly executed relief prints in wide ranging technique and scale. The works play with the concept of relief both as a printmaking mode and also as a feeling that Merriam-Webster defines as the removal of something oppressive, painful, or distressing. The subject matter of these prints is decidedly light, inviting viewers to take a breath and meditate on a minotaur in tighty whities, fuzzy bunny families, and spiraling wolf packs.
