MISPRINTS: 24 Printmakers Reveal and Relish Their Mistakes As Part of 100th Year Celebration of “Inv

Hyattsville, MD—Misprints celebrates the unique outcomes of a printer’s mistake on the 100th anniversary of the first airmail flight and the infamous “Inverted Jenny” stamp. For stamp collectors, mistakes are what make a stamp more valuable. For artists, mistakes can also be valuable. In this exhibition, twenty-four printmakers reveal their "mistakes" and the unintended results. Misprints opens Friday, March 8th with a reception from 6:30–9 pm. The exhibition runs through April 19, 2019. Gallery hours: 10 am–6 pm Tuesday–Saturday and 12–5 pm on Sunday. The exhibition and reception are FREE and open to the public. AFTER ANAGLYPTA: An Installation by Melissa Ezelle

Hyattsville, MD—In a site-specific installation, artist Melissa Ezelle upends traditional and historical concepts of wallpaper as interior decoration or concealer for imperfection. Using cut paper, handmade printed lithographs, and screenprinting, Ezelle creates a lavishly unconfined interior landscape.
