Members Awarded Honors at MASHUP Exhibition

Hyattsville, MD—This year's annual Members Exhibition, MASHUP, highlights the varied nature of Pyramid's membership pool. As individual as each member is, the resulting show of uncurated work is a true “mashup” of styles, mediums, and price points hung riotously throughout the gallery, salon-style. The show opened with a well attended opening reception, where Pyramid's founder, Helen Frederick, offered remarks. After reviewing the pieces in earnest, Frederick selected one piece that stood out from the rest to receive the Founder's Award. Make Pyramid ⚡ELECTRIC⚡ This Spring

Friends, We are asking you help make Pyramid ELECTRIC this spring and beyond! We have a $16,200 matching grant challenge from the Maryland Historical Trust to upgrade the lighting in our community studios (screenprinting, papermaking, print shop, bindery, and letterpress). The grant also helps cover replacing our heavy front door. We need a few more dollars to finish this match challenge. Can we count on you? What’s up with the lights? The studio lighting installed during our big renovation of the building ended up favoring form over function.
