This one-day workshop will introduce you to the basics of bookbinding, including appropriate materials and tools needed to make your own notebooks, journals, or albums. Book structures taught will be the pamphlet, accordion, and Japanese stab binding. Additionally, you will learn how to properly cover boards for hard-covered books, the different properties of various adhesives used for bookbinding, and the tools needed in a basic bookbinding tool kit. By the end of the course, you will be able to adapt these three structures to suit you your needs, as well as have a strong foundation for furthering your bookbinding skills.
