A Weekday Virtual Workshop!

Drawing is fundamental to the art making process. Whether it’s a quick sketch to tease out ideas, a study to be translated into another medium, or a work of art in its own right, drawing can help us understand ourselves and the unique way in which we see the world. The goal of this workshop is to use drawing as a means of self-expression. While the principles of drawing will guide our journey, we will use exercises and prompts to extend our ways of seeing and working. As we experiment with line, mark-making and composition, you will be encouraged to go beyond what is visible and wade into the unknown. We will work with water-soluble graphite, a versatile tool that allows for soft washes, bold inky marks and everything in between.

All levels welcome!

Registration closes June 5, 2021 to ensure students have time to order materials. With your registration you'll receive a materials list (with helpful links) to purchase your supplies, along with any helpful handouts, as well as a quick 1-page "how-to" on downloading and using the Zoom video app.

PLEASE NOTE: All workshops will be recorded for Pyramid Atlantic's private use to better optimize our programming and share as examples for funders. You may mute your microphone or turn off your camera if you do not wish to be recorded.
