A Virtual Workshop with Guest Artist Nate Flagg!
In this class, students will learn about historical methods of animation, and how to use the tools readily available in their homes to investigate and expand upon these methods. Students will learn how to compose storyboards, register and photograph animation frames, and develop movable scenography and characters. Students will be using their own smartphones and commonly available animation software to produce their animations. The class will culminate in a collaborative animation to be produced over the class period.
Registration closes on October 27 to allow time for students to gather/purchase their materials. With your registration, you'll receive the full materials list (with helpful links) to purchase your items, any helpful handouts about the process, as well as a quick 1-page "how-to" on downloading and using the Zoom video app.
PLEASE NOTE: All workshops will be recorded for Pyramid Atlantic's private use to better optimize our programming and share as examples for funders. You may mute your microphone or turn off your camera if you do not wish to be recorded.
