In this workshop, you will learn the basic skills to create your own screen print monotypes. Monotypes are prints made from a process that cannot be repeated. Traditionally this is with printmaking inks or watercolors on plexi-glass and run through an etching press. But in One Hit Wonders, you will learn how those same ideas can be translated to screen print, and see how there are unique qualities to making monotypes. Students will be given a basic introduction on how pull a screen print, how to prepare their ink and paper, best practices for ink application, and then be given ample time to print their own monotypes.
