An In-Studio workshop!

This workshop covers the many exciting possibilities of creating plaster molds with the intent of casting shaped paper. On the first day, we will begin with the “how” of mold creation using clay or a found object to capture different shapes. By emphasising techniques for attaining the best cast, students will better get a feel for the process. For the second session, students will learn how to properly mix and pour plaster around their object to create a mold of it. In the third and final session, students will have the opportunity to create a replica of the object/shape by casting paper into the molds and discuss advanced and alternative media for future projects.

All levels welcome. Registration extended through June 19, 2021.

Please Note: Pyramid is dedicated to protect the safety and health of its employees and guests. In-studio class size has been limited to ensure adequate spacing for students and strict cleaning regimens will be implemented for the space and tools, both before and after each class. Please contact us with any additional questions or concerns.

A Note About Pyramid and Covid Safety:

While we are encouraged by the numbers reported locally and nationally, Pyramid is committed to the health of our artists and visitors. At this time, we are choosing to be more conservative than the local ordinances. We have increased our studio capacity numbers in some areas but will  continue to operate the building at a reduced capacity and require mask wearing in all public spaces.
