A Virtual Workshop!

This Holiday Edition of the fan-favorite Pop-Up Building Blocks online class presents a festive twist on our POP-ular introduction to paper engineering! Two 3 hour sessions will feature all the basic skills you need to know to master the structures used to create pop-up greeting cards that you can share this winter holiday season.

You will finish each class session with a set of ready to send cards, instructions and templates for all the techniques taught to encourage further projects inspired by our class. Card themes will be personalized based on student interest and can include Christmas, Winter Solstice, Hanukkah, or New Years motifs. The instructor will assemble and mail class packets that include all the cardstock, handmade prints, specialty papers, glue, ephemera, envelopes as well as custom envelope templates. Students are encouraged to use their own favorite bits of ephemera, photographs or copies of their original art to further personalize their pop-up creations.

Registration closes November 4, 2020 to allow time for the safe packaging and mailing of the materials kit, which includes cardstock, decorative papers, and a UHU glue stick. Students will also receive a list of other needed tools and supplies to gather/purchase additional tools ahead of class, any helpful handouts about the process, as well as a quick 1-page "how-to" on downloading and using the Zoom video app.

PLEASE NOTE: All workshops will be recorded for Pyramid Atlantic's private use to better optimize our programming and share as examples for funders. You may mute your microphone or turn off your camera if you do not wish to be recorded.
