This 2-day workshop will focus on combining traditional typesetting techniques with lesser known processes such as pressure printing, type high modular forms, and hand-inking to create prints with a wide range of graphic possibilities. Becoming familiar with operating the magical Vandercook Cylinder Proof Press is just the beginning. Students will learn to produce variable editions, monoprints, and monotypes. Color mixing, transparency, and unconventional application of color will be a central element to pushing the process (and printed matter), into uncharted territory.
All levels of students are encouraged to sign-up!
