Welcome to #PyramidAtHome, a way to stay creatively together while physically apart. We hope you will join in on the fun whether through our FREE Art Demos, NEW online workshops, or simply a social media Show + Tell. We are adding more online content each day. Check back here and follow us on social media so that we can cheer on each other from afar!
Every other week, we’re releasing another #PyramidAtHome art demo, made possible by our amazing network of artists and artistic associates. See how to etch, cast paper, screenprint, dye fabric, develop cyanotypes, and print patterned paper right at home!
Stay tuned for more workshops moving to our "virtual classroom" soon!
Show + Tell!
How do you #PyramidAtHome? Tag #PyramidAtHome on social media so we can see what you're making, where you're making, and what Pyramid art you're hanging out with these days. Show us the books you’re binding, the etchings you’re sketching out, heck, the cookies you’re decorating. Show us your new at-home studio (pets are a bonus). Got prints you made or bought at Pyramid? Show us those too!
Here are some of the latest posts!
Other Ways to #PyramidAtHome
Print Trade Show:
"High (Virtual) Five!"
Over 60 artists signed-up to participate in this fun, stay-at-home creative venture! Members are creating an edition of 20 prints to exchange among the group. The prints will be displayed in a virtual gallery here on our website for all to enjoy, while extra prints from the trade will be made available for the public to purchase—both in curated packs of 5 and raffled packs of 5, all to benefit Pyramid Atlantic during this especially challenging time. Make art, get art, AND help Pyramid? Put er’ there!
High Virtual Five opens this June—Stay tuned for more and follow #PyramidAtHome for sneak peeks at what the artists are working on.
Virtual Exhibition and Print Sale
We've uploaded the current gallery show to our website! Check out the work of Detroit-based artist Amos Paul Kennedy, Jr. right from the comfort of your home. Kennedy uses letterpress printing and bold type to stir up strong emotions through print. As printer and provocateur, his work asks crucial questions about issues of race, equality, and artistic pretension.
