Opening reception: Saturday, November 7, 2015, 4-8 p.m.

The Phoenix Project, Photographs 2012-2015

"The Phoenix Project, Photographs 2012-2015" is the result of four years' collaborative work in Phoenix AZ during February of each year. Sherwood True is the collaborative name for two photographers, James Sherwood and Shirley True.

While in Phoenix during the first year February 2012 Sherwood True photographed every day for 30 days and at the end of each day downloaded their photos, selected two images, one by each of them, and emailed them as a pair without individual attribution to 20 friends, colleagues, and family.

Sherwood and True's collaboration is unique for the photographers' lack of attribution for individual photographs. Although individual photos are not attributed, work in books and exhibitions is 50/50.

The book: Two by Two

When SHERWOOD TRUE  returned home to Silver Spring in March 2012, they documented their paired photos in the order in which they were emailed. Their book, "Two by Two, Sherwood True, The Phoenix Project," may be reviewed and purchased online at blurb.com.
