NOT TOO HIGH, NOT TOO LOW

MARCH 9 - APRIL 13, 2018
not too high, not too low is a group exhibition that invited comic book/zine artists and cartoonists from the DMV to make work for a gallery setting. Curator Amy Lokoff has challenged the 6 participating artists to subvert the traditional elements of their genre: work that is narrative, two dimensional, handheld, and considered commercial by the mainstream fine art world. This show reconsiders their artistic practice as one that requires technical and conceptual skill and explores the line between high and low culture. Featuring artists: Jessica Agüero, Andrew Cohen, Eric Gordon, Toni Lane, Anna Sellheim and Lenora Yerkes.
Please join us for the opening reception of not too high, not too low on March 9th, 2018 from 6pm-9pm, DIY Zine Workshop on March 25th, and Panel Discussion on April 7th. More info on our Events page.
