Pyramid's Non-Traditional Print Exchange Brings Artists Together (While Staying Apart)
HYATTSVILLE, Md—As part of its “#PyramidAtHome” response to the unexpected and sudden COVID-19 pandemic shut-downs in March, Pyramid Atlantic announced a non-traditional print trade for its members. 60 members eagerly took up the call to create work from home, donating five from each edition to the High (Virtual) Five Print Exhibition and Sale. All sales will help support Pyramid's programming and fixed operating expenses during the shut-down. The online exhibition opened on June 1st, and went live in Pyramid’s gallery starting July 1st to celebrate the studio’s reopening. Prints were made available for purchase as a "Curated Collection" of five prints based on one of the customer’s choosing choosing, or through the purchase of a raffle ticket to win a "Mystery Five" bundle of prints.
